RESCUE T1 Ambulance Supports Thammasat Field Hospital

On Saturday, 24 April 2021, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Mingmalairak, Director of Thammasat Field Hospital, and Lecturer Watchara Amasiri of the Automotive Technology Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, jointly received a RESCUE T1 ambulance.
KASPA Pharmaceutical (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and S.S.S. Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. co-developed the vehicle for use by Thammasat Field Hospital during the COVID-19 outbreak. It supported the transport of patients with mild symptoms who required care at the field hospital.

The RESCUE T1 is built on the Ford Ranger platform and has structural and technical specifications designed for emergency medical operations. Separate air-conditioning systems for the driver and patient compartments help reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
The patient compartment provides sufficient working space for medical personnel and is equipped to support Basic Life Support operations in accordance with the requirements of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Mingmalairak thanked the organizations for the ambulance and noted that it was well suited to patient transport during the COVID-19 outbreak. He also encouraged the public to continue following preventive measures, including wearing face masks, washing hands regularly, and maintaining appropriate physical distance.
